Had some problems with my power hammer. Sorry to say I’m rather at sea when it comes to troubleshooting pneumatic systems, but with help from Ontario blacksmith, Dave Robertson at www.ArtistBlacksmith.com, the problem may be solved. Worn out rollers on the cam activators for the cylinder. I also need to check the inline lubricator setting. I’m waiting for parts and rejiggering my forging schedule. Usually the frame gets made first. There are some critters and floral elements that don’t require a power hammer. I don’t think it will cause trouble at the fitting stage to make them first.
In the meantime, mornings are spent on the ladder trimming the 8′ tall boxwood hedges. The ground is relatively frozen but clear of snow and my wife’s bulbs are starting to emerge. Waiting only makes the job more miserable. and there’s rain in the forecast for Monday.
