I spent last week making fern bits and this week putting them all together. Still need to clean up the welds and then adjust the fronds a little, especially the ones on the uncoiling fiddleheads. They were left “open” so I could reach the insides with my grinder. 58 leaflets were made for the five ferns needed for the two panels.
Finally have the pneumatic hammer fixed (fingers crossed) I’ll be able to get the frame and the tree leaves done next week. Still need to dress up the creatures. As you can see the frog has been cut out but needs dishing and additional bits like eyes and legs. The bird for the other panel needs a back and eyes and maybe some other bits as well.
